senior photography session in north park, pennsylvania

We had so much fun at Sydney's session. When she said her location aesthetic was natural and she was a senior at North Allegheny School District, I knew North Park would be a great spot. There are so many unique spots at the park, you can always have a ton of variety. We got some amazing photos by the wooden bridge, stone waterfall and field by the Boat House. Her outfits were perfect for the environment. I especially loved her pale yellow polka dot shirt in the wheat field.

One thing I always love at senior session is talking to the parents about their own senior portraits. It is so much fun to take a moment and reflect on what seeing a senior session looked like when they were growing up. It's a topic I love to discuss with the parents. We laugh at how unoriginal and "basic" our photos were. Most often, it involved a studio and very dated posing. On thing it always included was a print package.

As we navigate this digital world, the emphasis on prints and products has become lost. Unfortunately, many times digital files never get showcased in people's homes. I always have a conversation with my clients on the importance of loving their photos, as they will be gracing their homes for years to come. I love offering a variety of print options, but my most popular items have been the mini accordion albums. The come in a set of 3 and each can be customized. I work closely with my clients to create albums to their liking. Its' a great add on for any session, but my seniors have really gravitated towards this product. The are great gifts for grandparents and also make great decorative pieces for graduation parties. A lot of seniors also bring them to college, as they are tiny and easy to pack. Sydney added them on to her packaged. I created her albums, incorporating allt he photos from her gallery. Now she has an awesome keepsake to memorialize such an unprecedented senior year.
